Each year, the label releases a group of artists as a cohort and draws a new context around their work.
This July, the label will release four new 12" vinyls by Eyvind Kang (viola d'amore), Jessika Kenney (voice), Chloe Kim (drums/percussion), and Charmaine Lee (voice/electronics).
Eyvind and Jessika, long-time collaborators known for their work on Ideologic Organ and Tzadik, will be releasing their first ever independent solo instrumental projects after more than 30 years of recorded output. Chloe Kim, an Australian Korean drummer who has fused her background of traditional Korean drumming with jazz and new music, will release an album of solo percussion worthy of belonging in the canon of great rhythmic music. After her successful 2021 solo release on Erratum Musical, Charmaine Lee has taken her music and process even deeper into the studio environment to produce fresh and exciting perspectives on the voice and electronics.
The 2026 cohort includes Robert Aiki Aubrey Lowe, Randall Dunn, David Torn, Henry Fraiser, Eric Wubbels, Aliya Ultan, Taiga Ultan, and Reona, plus more artists in the works.
